SSE is celebrating 70 years of operation at Invergarry Power Station, a key part of the Great Glen Hydro Scheme and one of the many remarkable projects delivered during the pioneering years of hydro-electric development in the Scottish Highlands.

SSEN Transmission has welcomed the approval of the Cambushinnie 400kV Substation and associated haul track near Braco, Perthshire. The decisions represent a significant milestone in the proposed upgrade of the Beauly to Denny overhead line, increasing network capacity to support renewable electricity generation, improve energy security and help deliver clean, homegrown power across Great Britain.

SSE has become one of the first utility companies to successfully complete the five-year revalidation of its near-term climate targets with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
