As one of the UK and Ireland’s leading low carbon energy companies – we’re pushing for ambitious climate action to halt global warming. The climate emergency needs bold action and we’re delivering the solutions to climate change, helping build a low carbon world.
We have plans to increase our renewable energy output fivefold by 2031 and Dogger Bank will be the world’s largest offshore wind farm when it is finished in 2026, with enough electricity to power six million homes. By adding your name to the roll call of action it will be part of history, emblazoned on its huge turbines in a fitting legacy of COP26 and the Green Trade Investment Expo as a clear message to world leaders.
Constructing an offshore wind farm 130km out in the north sea takes a feat of engineering. SSE is working with its partners, Equinor, Eni and turbine manufacturers GE to arrange for thousands of names to be added to the wind farm’s first phase which is due for completion in 2023. SSE reserve the right to add the names to any of the turbines at Dogger Bank in line with the project construction.
SSE reserve the right to close this opportunity at a time of their choosing.
Once submitted your name will only be visible to SSE before being installed on a turbine at Dogger Bank. It will then be visible to any external third parties who carry out services on our behalf (for example the company which will place your name onto the wind turbine or the employees operating the turbine), and it may be visible on any promotional videos created at the time of install.
Your email address will be held securely by SSE and will only be used to let you know when your name has been placed on the turbine at Dogger Bank.
SSE will email you with an update once your name has been added to a turbine at Dogger Bank. You can also see progress on Dogger Bank at any time by visiting sse.com or by following us on Instagram @sseplc for latest news updates.
SSE will email you with an update including links to any images and videos once all names have been added to a turbine at Dogger Bank.
Once you have signed up to have your name placed on the turbine, this cannot be undone. Your name will be placed onto the wind turbine and shall remain on there for the life of the wind turbine.
The quickest solution is to resubmit your name with the correction. We can work to correct submissions if you’d like to email us at [email protected] but due to the volume of submissions, corrections can take some time to accommodate.
