Queen and Adam Lambert have been crowned winners of the SSE Live Awards at The SSE Arena, Wembley.
The awards, which have been running since October, gave fans the chance to vote for their favourite act which performed at The SSE Arena, Wembley during 2015. There were 661,000 votes cast, but Queen and Adam Lambert emerged clear winners with 299,000 votes – 45% of the total.
Brian May of Queen said: “WOW. Nice. Well. BIG THANKS SSE Folks … for a wonderful compliment. We’re very proud to be your favourite act of last year - by a huge majority. Humbled, grateful and definitely up for a rematch!”
Queen drummer Roger Taylor added: “Fantastic that we have made so many people happy, 300,000 thanks!”
By logging on to www.ssereward.com fans could vote for their favourite act which had performed at The SSE Arena, Wembley in 2015.
The top five acts according to voters were:

4. Gurdas Maan
5. The Janoskians

The very first SSE Live Award, awarded to the best act at Glasgow’s The SSE Hydro, was won by Paolo Nutini, who accepted the accolade in person at The SSE Scottish Music Awards in November last year.

SSE has been the title sponsor of The SSE Arena, Wembley since June 2014. It has been a successful 19 months with SSE’s partnership enabling AEG Europe to undertake the refurbishments needed to restore the famous venue.
The naming-rights partnership with SSE allows everyone who attends events there, not just their customers, to benefit from their contribution to the restoration and upgrading of the venue.
