SSE plc welcomes the decision by the Government to proceed with CfD auctions. It has consistently argued that competitive auctioning for CfDs, alongside a robust UK carbon price and the Capacity Market, can form the basis of a stable UK energy policy framework into the 2020s.
It notes the consultation relating to support for remote islands and will submit a response in due course.
