Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution (SSEPD) has started the recruitment process to find suitable candidates to join its Stakeholder Advisory Panel.

Responsible for keeping the lights on for millions of customers in the north of Scotland and central southern England, SSEPD is committed to ensuring the views of stakeholders are listened to at the highest levels of decision making within the company. In order to do that, the Advisory Panel, working alongside SSEPD’s Board, will help scrutinise the company’s performance and effectiveness in meeting its commitments during the current Electricity Distribution and Electricity Transmission price control periods - RIIO-ED1 and RIIO-T1.

The Panel will be made up of a Chair and up to seven people, who will represent a broad range of interest, skills, knowledge and experience. It's an opportunity to play an influential role in a high profile panel that will support high quality decision making for the benefit of SSEPD's stakeholders and customers.

Since Panel members will work directly with the SSEPD Board, to be considered you'll need to have previous experience as part of a team at board and/or committee level in an organisation of significant status.

Each Advisory Panel Member will be expected to provide up to 10 days input each year and will receive an annual payment of up to £3,000 and reasonable travel expenses. The closing date for applications is Sunday 21 August 2016.
