SSE has teamed up with Nordoff Robbins, the UK’s leading music therapy charity, to support the inaugural Get Loud awareness day that will see some of the biggest names in music perform a series of exclusive and intimate gigs on Tuesday 8 June 2016 and SSE customers can be in with a chance of being there.
Stars including Tinie Tempah, Alison Moyet, Madness, Katy B, Squeeze and Slaves have all pledged their support and will play a mix of concerts, and pub and club gigs throughout the day with even more acts to be added in the coming weeks.
SSE and Apple Music will be supporting the day with exclusive access to the gigs via ssereward.com and entering the official Nordoff Robbins prize draw.

Nordoff Robbins’ online prize draw will open from today until 26 May and to enter the draw to be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to a gig of your choice, entrants will be asked to donate £3 to the charity. Successful entrants will then be confirmed on 27 May.
SSE Reward will also host a chance to win tickets to the gigs – info will be sent to those registered with the site soon. If you’re not already registered, make sure to sign up at www.ssereward.com so as not to miss out on the chance to win tickets.

Jo Carter, Director of Fundraising, Communications and Marketing at Nordoff Robbins, said: “We are thrilled to be announcing this exciting new music event and hope that the UK will Get Loud for Nordoff Robbins! Having some of Britain’s brightest music stars pledging their support will really help to shine a light on the fantastic work our team of music therapists do each day, whilst also giving a great sense of enjoyment through the power of music.”
Nordoff Robbins is the largest independent music therapy charity in the UK, dedicated to changing the lives of vulnerable and isolated people. They support thousands of people through our own centres and by working in partnership with a wide range of organisations including care homes, schools and hospitals.
In the hands of a trained practitioner, music therapy can be used to support people living with a wide range of needs. It can help a child with autism to communicate, unlock forgotten memories for those living with dementia or provide comfort for someone facing a terminal illness.
