Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution (SSEPD) engineers are battling hard to protect the electricity network from yet more flooding across north east Scotland, Angus, Tayside and Perthshire.
A week after Storm Frank caused widespread disruption, torrential rain has been falling on already saturated ground - causing flooding at some of our substations across the region.
Despite early preparations the sheer volume of water means some of our equipment, like the substation at Inchbare near Brechin, is under water.
We urge all members of the public to take extra care with the heavy rainfall around and to contact us directly if they have any concerns about the electricity network in the north of Scotland on 0800 300 999.
