SSE has confirmed it will be supporting the UK Pro Surf Championships in Thurso for the third year in a row. The UK’s top surfers will ride the waves of the beautiful coastline from October 29-31, where they will compete for the National Title.
The event will showcase both professional and junior surfers with an emphasis on the next generation of surfers and will feature the qualifying event to choose the elite junior surfers to represent Great Britain in series of international events next year.
The surf conditions at Thurso are world class and the event will help to showcase the sport and Thurso as one of the best surfing destinations in the UK.
Ruth Liddicoat, SSE’S Liaison Manager, said: “We are delighted to sponsor the Thurso UK Pro Surfing Championships for the third year running and look forward to watching both professional and junior competitors on Thurso’s famous waves.
