Over 150 children enjoyed a summer packed full of exciting and educational activities at Fiddlers Ferry Education Resource Centre.

Young and old alike were invited to take part in a whole range of activities, including arts and crafts and yoga for children. There was even time for some rocket launching, with fun for all whatever the weather.

The Fiddlers Ferry ERC Summer Camp sent an open invitation to all young people and their parents in the area to come along, make new friends and discover more about the world we live in.

Gemma Hill-Davis, ERC Manager, said: “We were over the moon to have had so many young people and their families along to our sessions this summer. The camp allows us to host some really fun sessions whilst still providing the learning opportunities which underpin the centres objectives. A particular highlight enjoyed by everyone was the African drumming band which formed part of our different cultures day. It was lovely to see the children learning new skills like the origami, taught to them by Yoshiko.”

One of the children to visit the ERC was Isabelle Gall: “The ERC is great. We had a really good day and I made loads of new friends. The staff are really cool and helped me loads. I am going to practice my origami so I can show my friends when I go back to school. There was also a family day and I really enjoyed the water fight.”
