SSE’s new 464MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant at Great Island, Co. Wexford, in Ireland was officially opened on Friday by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD.
The opening of the plant marks the end of a three-year journey, with around 3 million working hours expended by the SSE project team in that time.
