SSE Airtricity Scoops Second Industry Leading Credit Award in Twelve Months
18 Nov 2014
SSE Airtricity, Ireland’s second largest energy provider, has once again been recognised for its industry leading customer service across both the Republic and Northern Ireland, after picking up the Credit Management Team of the Year award at the annual Irish Contact Centre and Shared Services Awards in Dublin.
The award is the second in twelve months for SSE Airtricity’ Domestic Credit Control Team, following the team’s recognition at last year’s Irish Institute of Credit Management awards, when they were named Consumer Credit Team of the Year.
The prestigious title was awarded to the SSE Airtricity team for its customer centric approach to credit management and commitment towards working with home energy customers to help them manage payments for their energy bills, as well as the team’s focus on consistent customer communications and effective use of technology.
Sean McMahon, SSE Airtricity’s Credit Control Manager, commented:
“At SSE Airtricity, we’re proud to make a difference, and this award demonstrates our commitment to putting the customer at the centre of everything we do as a business. The recognition by the CCMA marks a positive end to an extremely successful year for our credit control team, who have worked tirelessly on improving all areas of the company’s credit control process.”
“Our partnerships with the likes of An Post, MABS and St Vincent de Paul, alongside our focus on improving customer communications, have helped us exceed targets in a number of areas, including a reduction in both customer complaints and bad debt provision.”
Although the team prize was the only award picked up by the business on the evening, members of the company’s Customer Services Team were nominated for a number of individual and team awards, including, Agent of the Year, Team Leader of the Year and Best Training Programme.
