SSE Airtricity Energy Service is encouraging households across Northern Ireland to avail of the various energy efficiency grants and schemes available to homeowners as part of Energy Aware Week, which runs from 13th – 19th October.
Launched last year, SSE Airtricity Energy Services is the most recent addition to SSE Airtricity’s offering in Northern Ireland, which currently supplies around 300,000 homes and businesses and last week launched Northern Ireland’s cheapest home electricity discount, offering customers 20% of their home electricity bill.
Since 2011, SSE Airtricity Energy Services has helped distribute more than £2million in grant funding through the Northern Ireland Sustainable Energy Programme (NISEP), which provides funding for retrofit energy efficiency upgrades for Northern Ireland homes and businesses
SSE Airtricity is one of ten partners supporting this week’s Energy Aware programme, which aims to increase awareness of energy efficiency and provide homeowners with practical help and advice to make their energy go further.
This winter, customers can avail of three NISEP schemes that SSE Airtricity Energy Services have on offer, which provide customers with the chance to receive grant funding for a replacement high efficiency boiler or replacing an old inefficient Economy 7 electric heating system with the high efficiency Glen Dimplex Quantum electric heating system.
Gas customers in the Greater Belfast region can also avail of the companies Energy Care Inspections, which provide customers with a gas boiler check. To date, the company have already carried out over 1000 inspections and have had over 2000 applications.
