Scottish Hydro Electric (SHE) Transmission is to commence with public consultations on plans to connect the Stronelairg wind farm to the National Grid.
An open doors event will be held in Laggan Village Hall on 9 October to display initial plans for a proposed electrical connection between the proposed wind farm and existing infrastructure, near Melgarve which is west of Laggan, Newtonmore.
The consultation will ask for opinions on two main aspects associated with the connection to the National Grid, namely a new transmission connection and a new substation. SHE Transmission project staff are keen to receive feedback on initial proposals ahead of further consultations and any planning application, to ensure the best solution is reached.
The event will be held on 9 October 2014 between 14.30 - 19.30, members of the public are encouraged to attend at any point
