In February we officially became SSE Airtricity, and we celebrated this landmark brand migration with our new Positive Energy campaign. The aim of the Positive Energy campaign is to change the public perception of the company, and the launch of the new brand provided the perfect opportunity to do this.
The Positive Energy campaign was launched across Ireland in February, utilising all media formats to communicate core brand messages. The campaign’s central theme is simple – SSE Airtricity is proud to make a difference to our customers. We do this through our superior customer service, a commitment to sustainability and our support of local communities. A lot of the campaign imagery was shot at SSE’s Meentycat wind farm and combines powerful visuals with strong messages such as: “Positive Energy is Ireland’s greenest home energy provider” and “Positive Energy is putting €2 billion into the economy”.
The Positive Energy campaign really brought the brand launch to life. It has been a great way of reinforcing the core principles of SSE and Airtricity, but also showing our plan for the future. It has been successful in raising awareness of the new brand and the feedback from the larger SSE group has been brilliant.
Our sponsorships have also played a key part in creating awareness of the brand migration. Our sponsorship of UTV Weather gives us exposure to 250,000 viewers daily, and includes 15 short clips or ‘stings’ telling the SSE Airtricity story. In the Republic of Ireland, the new look SSE Airtricity League has weekly coverage across print, digital, TV and radio, and illustrates our commitment to Irish communities.
As SSE Airtricity, we will continue the great work that has already been done, delivering the exceptional customer service, sustainable energy and great value that our customers have come to expect.
