The past few months have proved to be a very busy time for our men and women in the Petersfield Depot. Rural areas there received a battering from high winds and rain, which left uprooted trees and flooded roads in its wake.
Local MP Damian Hinds came along to the depot recently to meet with the local managers and chat with staff to learn more about the challenging conditions the team faced when restoring customers' supplies.
He said: “One of the messages that I heard most from residents affected by the power cuts was their great thanks to the staff who worked extremely hard over the Christmas period, under extremely difficult conditions, to restore power.
"I would like to echo this gratitude; they did a tremendous job and it is much appreciated, and it was a pleasure to pass on this thanks in person when I visited the team.”
