As winter sets in, we’ve been ramping up our contingency plans to make sure the lights stay on even if severe weather hits your local network.
We're spending £122 million this year to upgrade and maintain our power lines, underground cables, substations and other vital parts of the network to make it as robust as possible. This reinforcement is part of a four year, £500 million investment programme.
