A team of 16 members of staff from Southern Electric part of SSE recently spent the day volunteering at Marwell Zoo in Colden Common, Winchester, clearing Ragwort from the grass fields.
The team were able to lend a hand through the company’s “Community at Heart” scheme, which allows all staff members the opportunity to take a day out of their normal work routine to help a group in their local area.
SSE staff members have already completed a staggering 2,025 Community at Heart days across more than 200 projects since April this year and continue to reach out and assist local communities across the UK and Ireland.
