SSE employees have been busy fundraising to support a colleague’s trip to Tanzania to help build homes for vulnerable and orphaned children.
Wendy, who works in the Training team in Perth, will be taking on the African adventure this October in partnership with charity, The Vine Trust, which enlists support from volunteers to help make a significant difference to some of the poorest children and communities in the world.
In order to make the trip, Wendy needs to raise £1,700 but along with help from her colleagues she has already raised £643 towards her total.
Wendy said: "I know the work out there will be tough but it’s for such a worthwhile cause. It will involve long days and hard physical activity but it will be extremely rewarding.
"I need to raise quite a lot of money and although it’s a huge task the support I have received from colleagues has been tremendous. I’m really grateful for everyone’s support and can’t wait to head out there later in the year."
