Celebrity guide dog Milo visited SSE Headquarters in Perth last week – to meet the lady who gave him his name.
‘Milo the Guide Dog’ has become a Twitter sensation with nearly 5,000 followers including famous supporters Amy McDonald, Clare Balding and Paul Lawrie.
And Milo’s owner Scott Cunningham was last year named Most Inspirational Guide Dog Owner in the UK after raising £180,000 for charities including Guide Dogs and the Royal Marines Charitable Trust.
Last week the doggy A-lister visited SSE to meet Cadence Hayward-Band who gave Milo his name as part of a company-wide competition. Cadence and her colleagues in Energy Sales also raised nearly £5,000 for Guide Dogs.
Milo, now two years-old, was trained near SSE’s head office in Perth.
Cadence was delighted to see Milo with Scott and said: “Milo is absolutely adorable, and it’s so rewarding to see ‘our dog’ doing what he’s been trained to do and helping Scott.
“They look like a perfect match for each other. The whole team have really enjoyed seeing Scott and Milo together and looking so happy, it really makes it all worthwhile.”
She added: “I am so glad I picked the name Milo, I think it suits him perfectly”.
