With significant focus on payment methods for dividends in recent years, in terms of efficiency, cost and security, SSE plc has made the decision that from September 2019, it will no longer be paying dividends by cheque. All future dividends will be credited to a shareholder’s nominated bank/building society account.

The company’s articles of association, approved by shareholders, provides the Company flexibility in the way dividends are paid, and we believe this is better for our shareholders: safeguarding dividends by using a more secure payment method; as well as reducing the Company’s impact on the environment.
