The Aldbrough gas storage facility, in East Yorkshire, and developed in a joint venture between SSE and Statoil (UK) was officially opened by Charles Hendry MP on 27 June 2011. The facility will provide around 7% of the total gas storage capacity in the UK.
The UK Energy Minister, Charles Hendry MP, today visited the new gas storage facility at Aldbrough, in East Yorkshire, to mark its official opening.
