Chonais hydro power station
Our generation business, Scottish and Southern Energy Generation Ltd (SSEG), has submitted a planning application for a 3.5MW run of river hydro-electric power station on the Allt a Chonais, between Achnasheen and Lochcarron in Wester Ross. Planning consent was granted in March 2009, and construction is due to begin late 2010.
