Contracting
SSE Contracting is one of the largest mechanical and electrical contracting businesses in the UK, operating from over 50 regional offices throughout England, Scotland and Wales. We have three main areas of activity:
- industrial, commercial and domestic mechanical and electrical contracting;
- electrical and instrumentation engineering; and
- public and highway lighting.
We are the UK's leading street-lighting contractor, with contracts with over 20 local authorities to maintain lighting columns and illuminated signs. We are also involved in the replacement and maintenance of street lights, illuminated signs and bollards for more than 10 local authorities under the Private Finance Initiative.
We also maintain around 300,000 street lights for local authorities in the Republic of Ireland.
