SSE has made significant progress in responding to contacts from customers about its Sales Guarantee, the only one of its kind in the energy supply sector. Under it, any household customer who shows that they switched their energy supply to SSE after being given inaccurate or misleading information will have any resulting financial loss made good.

SSE Renewables, the renewable energy development division of SSE, welcomes today’s unanimous decision by the Highland Council’s North Planning Committee to raise no objection to the proposed Glencassley wind farm, north-west of Lairg.

SSE plc has reached agreement with Renewable Energy Systems Group (RES) to acquire the Dunmaglass wind farm project, located near Loch Mhor, 25km south of Inverness.

Greater Gabbard Offshore Winds Ltd (GGOWL), which is 50% owned by SSE, and Fluor Ltd have reached agreement on all of the outstanding claims relating to the construction of the Greater Gabbard offshore wind farm. The main claim related to the quality of up to 52 upper foundations (transition pieces) supporting turbines and the quality of up to 35 lower foundations supporting the same turbines.

The Scottish Hydro Gordonbush Wind Farm Community Fund has awarded over £312,000 to local projects in the Rogart, Golspie, Brora and Helmsdale areas since it opened in 2011.

SSE today confirmed that it will proceed with construction of its 7.5MW Glasa¹ hydro-electric scheme, near Ardross, Ross-shire.

SSE is pleased to have delivered its full allocation of measures set out by the Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT) scheme and has contracts in place to ensure it meets its allocation through the Community Energy Saving Programme (CESP).
