Islay wind farm

SSE Renewables was granted exclusivity by the Crown Estate in February 2009 to develop a 690MW offshore wind farm 13km off the west coast of Islay. SSER signed an Agreement for Lease with the Crown Estate in October 2011.

SSE Renewables is committed to the Islay Offshore Wind Farm and we continue to work with local stakeholders and keep the community informed as progress is made on the project in the coming months.

    Where suppliers provide services we deem to be high risk, they will need to submit to the Achilles Verify process, so they can demonstrate compliance with health, safety, environment and quality requirements.

    If you register with Achilles, this does not guarantee we will invite you to quote or award you any business.
