We are developing the Greater Gabbard offshore wind farm in a joint venture with RWE npower renewables.
All 140 monopile foundations are in place at the wind farm and 133 turbines have been installed, of which 108 have exported electricity. Work is continuing on the installation of the third and final electricity export cable. All of this means that construction work should be completed, as planned, before the end of 2012.
Wind turbines produce electricity by using the natural power of the wind to drive a generator.
