Clyde Extension Wind Farm

The Clyde Extension proposal was discussed at both South Lanarkshire Council and Scottish Borders Council's Planning Committee in December, resulting in no objection from both local authorities.

We expect a final decision on the Section 36 application from the Scottish Government' Energy Consents Unit in 2013. In the meantime, we will continue to keep the local community and local stakeholders updated on the project as it progresses.

Community investment

We recognise that our investments in new electricity generation benefit from the co-operation of the local community in a variety of ways, particularly during the construction phase. In recognition of this, our policy is to establish long-term funds to support community projects in areas where we are developing generation projects.
