Ask us for a helping hand
Our 'Community at Heart' employee supported volunteering scheme gives all SSE staff the opportunity to take a day off from their usual work programme and swap it for a day working with a not-for-profit organisation or group of their choice. SSE employees can be found the length and breadth of the country working alone or in teams to support the work that they feel passionately about.
If you are an organisation or a school that uses volunteers to support your paid staff, get in touch. If you have a specific project that can be completed in a day or so, contact us to see how we can help you.
Can we help you?
We get involved in activity which ranges from clean-up tasks to projects that involve strategic planning. If you are a not for profit operating in and around our offices and sites then we will try and help.
As well as all of the above activity Community at Heart volunteers regularly visit schools to deliver educational packages on electrical safety and sustainability. If you are from a school/parent/pupil and want to request a visit, please complete our Volunteer request form, and visit our Education pages.
Tell us how you could benefit from Community at Heart by downloading and completing our Volunteer request form.
When you have completed the form, either scan and email it to volunteering@sse.com.
Or post it to: SSE, Community at Heart, Corporate Affairs, 55 Vastern Road, Reading, RG1 8BU.
